AFF is a high-level financial conference to be held on 20-21 January 2010, which gathers some of the world's most influential monetary experts and business leaders for groundbreaking discussions about the opportunities and challenges now facing Asia. In the afternoon of 21 January 2010, TMA will host a workshop on "Hong Kong, the Islamic Gateway to China" which will be offered to TMA members free of charge.
The workshop will focus on the latest developments of Islamic finance in Hong Kong and other parts of the world, particularly in Islamic capital markets. An overview of the most common sukuk structures in the market will also be provided in the workshop. In addition, panelists will explore how the Islamic financial industry resets itself in the aftermath of the financial crisis, and share their views on how Hong Kong could position itself as a premier Islamic gateway to China amid China’s rapid growth.
