The TMA Annual Ball 2009, themed “Nostalgic Night of Good Oldies”, was successfully held on 27th November in the HKCEC with around 400 members and friends attending.

The evening started off with the welcoming remarks of the Chairman, Mr. Eddie Yue, highlighting TMA’s achievement and progress over the year. To highlight the theme of the night, a “Best Dress Competition”  was held with 10 shortlisted well-dressed participants competing for the final 2 championship. All the audience from the floor gave them a big round of applause with laughter and fun.

This year, TMA unprecedentedly invited Band of the HSBC (The WayRock) and Band of the HKMC together with “singers” from Hong Kong Monetary Authority, HSBC and some Macau guests to perform.  All the guests to the Ball agreed that their performance is amazing and they had played and sung as good as the professional performers.

Last but not the least, the pretty MC, Becky Lee, brought in sweet songs with her prominent eloquence. The well-known “Rock & Roll Godfather” guest performer, Danny Summer, brought us back to the 60’s and 70’s, drawing up a sense of nostalgia and allowing guests to loosen up in an enjoyable and relaxed environment. As the evening came to an end, exquisite prizes were given out in the Lucky Draw.

A combination of various performances by different parties this year triggered a harmonious “chemical reaction”………that everyone immersed themselves in the invigorating and energizing atmosphere till late night.
