Referring to the HKMA circular on 11 Feb 2010, HKMA would like to capitalize the opportunity of conducting a briefing on the supervisory principles and operational arrangements regarding RMB business in Hong Kong. The purpose of that circular was to provide an elucidation by the HKMA on the supervisory principles and the operational arrangements regarding the cross-border fund flows of RMB and the development of RMB Business in Hong Kong.
 
We are delighted to have Ms. Carmen Chu, Executive Director, External Department, Hong Kong Monetary Authority to share her valuable insights on this topic. Ms. Chu is responsible for international affairs relating to multilateral agencies and central bank co-operation, China research and financial market integration issues, as well as the HKMA's overseas office in New York.
