Advanced Level examination on the TMA Code, a crash course will be arranged on Tuesday, 21 August 2018

For admission as TMA Full Membership The Professional Membership Committee (PMC) of the TMA takes into account the relevant professional qualifications, years of experience and position held of financial market practitioners in considering giving exemption to apply for TMA membership. For the time being, the following qualifications have been considered by the PMC for exemption of the required professional qualifications criteria: (a) Exemption Policy for holders of relevant internationally recognised qualifications Without relevant experience: l A candidate with the qualifications of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA) or Financial Risk Management (FRM) but without relevant experience should enroll and pass the Code of Conduct and Practice of the TMA examination (Advanced Level) and meeting other prescribed criteria to attain the TMA Full membership requirement. (b) Exemption Policy for experienced treasury staff without internationally recognised qualifications With at least 10 years relevant experience: l A candidate without qualifications of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA) or Financial Risk Management (FRM) but having at least 10 years relevant experience and holding a managerial or specialist position should enroll and pass the Code of Conduct and Practice of the TMA examination (Advanced Level) and meeting other prescribed criteria to attain the TMA Full membership requirement. OR
With at least 20 years relevant experience: l A candidate without qualifications of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA) or Financial Risk Management (FRM) but having at least 20 years relevant experience, holding a managerial position for at least 10 years and being endorsed from the immediate superior or human resources department should enroll and attend the Code of Conduct and Practice of the TMA crash course (Advanced Level) and meeting other prescribed criteria to attain the TMA Full membership requirement. Applications under the above exemption criteria will be considered on a case by case basis and will be subject to the final decision and approval of the Membership Sub-Committee and Professional Membership Committee of TMA. Registration and Payment Prior to registration, market practitioners should ensure they have fulfilled the above exemption criteria. If you are not sure whether you have met the above criteria, please provide your CV stating details of the treasury market experience (including positions and job duties), professional qualifications, copies of the recognised qualifications etc. for membership pre-vetting procedure. For those who are not willing to provide CV or other qualifications for membership pre-vetting procedure but directly took the TMA Code examination, their membership application may be rejected in case they have not met the above exemption criteria. CPD & Attendance
Certificate
Participants are entitled
to receive 3 CPD (TMA) credits upon completion of the crash course. TMA is the
administrator for the Enhanced Competency Framework on Treasury Management
(ECF-TM) and a recognized institution of Securities and Futures Commission
(SFC) for providing continuing professional development (CPD) activities. The
CPD hours can be used to meet the CPD requirements of the ECF-TM and the
SFC. To qualify for the CPD credits or
attendance certificate of the crash course, all participants have to sign-in
and sign-out. We regret that neither CPD nor attendance certificate will be
given to those who are late for the crash course or leave early. TMA Office
will update TMA Individual Members’ CPD record after the crash course is held.
