The growth in exchange-traded funds (ETFs) has been one of the most disruptive trends within the asset management industry over the last 20 years. As of the end of 2023, the global total ETF assets under management (AUM) have exceeded USD$11 trillion.

In Hong Kong, thematic investments, fixed income, and virtual assets are covered by Hong Kong’s ETF products. Hong Kong also pioneered in offering Bitcoin futures and Ether futures ETFs among the Asian markets. With the listing of the first Asian Saudi Arabia Exchange-traded Fund (ETF) last year, Hong Kong’s role as a leading ETF market in Asia is further consolidated.

Against this background, TMA is delighted to have invited Ms Ding Chen, Chief Executive Officer, CSOP Asset Management Limited, to share her views with Members on exploring the global ETFs market with following synopsis:

1. Global ETF Landscape:
     a. Comprehensive overview of the global ETF market
     b. Current trends and developments shaping the global ETF market

2. ETFs Across Various Markets:
     a. North America
     b. Europe
     c. Asia-Pacific (Including Mainland China, Japan, Hong Kong and more)

3. RMB Internationalization in the ETF Market:
     a. Navigate RMB product development journey
     b. Exploring the connection mechanisms
