TMA is pleased to announce the new intake of the Professional Certificate in Treasury Markets, in collaboration with Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) LiPACE. This programme aims to provide junior staff engaged in treasury markets activities with basic knowledge of the financial and treasury markets and their operating environment. It is recognized by Treasury Markets Association (TMA) as the ‘ Level 1 training’ under its ‘Professional Qualification Framework’ (PQF).

Objectives

Upon completion of the programme, students should be able to:

Apply macroeconomic theories in explaining how the financial system works;
Analyze the key aspects of regulatory framework in treasury markets;
Differentiate and analyze different treasury markets and their products;
Explain the key concepts of prudent risk management; and
Apply international best practice – the TMA Code of Conduct and Practice in work environment

Junior or aspiring practitioners in the treasury markets.

Programme Features

This is the only course in the market which covers the whole spectrum of topics in treasury markets.
This is the only course recognized by TMA as the ‘Level 1 Training’ under its Professional Qualification Framework.

QF Level

This is recognised under the QF as a level 4 qualification.

Professional Recognition

Graduates of the course are eligible for admission as TMA Associate Members under the TMA’s Membership Regime.

Assessment

Students are required to pass both Continuous Assessment (in the form of online quizzes) and paper-based examination in the course. The passing mark is 50%.

Award

A "Professional Certificate in Treasury Markets" will be jointly issued by HKMU LiPACE and TMA to those who have successfully completed the course.
