International focus on corporate sustainability – encompassing
environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) – has risen dramatically
in recent years. Sustainability investment is growing across the globe as
investors diversify their investments to increasingly focus on those companies
that perform strongly with regard to corporate sustainability.
Against
this background, we are delighted to have invited two speakers to share their
expertise on sustainability investment with synopsis as
below:

Speakers:
Mr. Daniel Wong Director& Head of Research and Analytics Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited Mr. Daniel Wong is Director & Head of
Research and Analytics of Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited. He joined the company in 2009 to drive the
development of the Hang Seng Family of Indexes.
Daniel has over 20 years of experience in the
field of research and statistics. He possesses a Bachelor degree in Statistics
from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master degree in Quantitative
Analysis for Business from The City University of Hong Kong. He is also a CFA charterholder and Certified
Financial Planner (CFPcm).
Mr. WK Wong Assistant Senior Manager, Sustainability (Team Leader) MBA, MSc, BEng(Hon) Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency
Mr. WK Wong
joined Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) in 2011. He is the scheme in
charge of the Green Finance Certification Scheme, and is responsible for
developing the scheme and conducting the first certification assessment. He
also leads the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) service, the Hang Seng
Corporate Sustainability Rating and Research and several other projects. He is
an expert in Green Finance, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) validation and verification,
energy and environmental management systems, sustainability assessment as well
as reporting processes. In 2017, he was nominated by the Hong Kong Innovation
and Technology Commission and the Standardization Administration of China as an
expert on the ISO technical committee ISO/TC 207/SC 04/WG 07 for the
development of “ISO14030 – Green Debt Instrument” and the committee member of
ISO/TC 322 “Sustainable Finance” for developing relevant standards.
Before
working in HKQAA, Mr. Wong joined TÜV Rheinland Hong Kong Limited (TÜVR) in
2006 as a CDM auditor and was promoted to CDM Manager before leaving in 2009.
While working at TÜVR, he was involved in validating and verifying the carbon
emission reduction in developing countries. He participated in more than 50
projects and conducted on-site assessment and interview with local stakeholder.
After leaving TÜVR in 2009, he worked in a Korean consultancy company as a
project manager, then promoted to a senior manager position. He was deployed as
a field delegate to assess the flexibility of CDM project, and deliver public
seminars and training in regard to various carbon and energy management
systems.
Mr. Wong
obtained his Master of Business Administration degree at the City University of
Hong Kong in 2008. Also, he obtained Master of Science degree in Environmental
Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Bachelor of Engineering
(Honours) in Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Management at the City
University of Hong Kong.
Participants are entitled to receive 1 CPD
(TMA) credit upon completion of the seminar. TMA is the administrator for the
Enhanced Competency Framework on Treasury Management (ECF-TM) and a recognized
institution of Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for providing continuing
professional development (CPD) activities. The CPD hours can be used to meet
the CPD requirements of the ECF-TM and the SFC. To qualify for the CPD credits
or attendance certificate of the seminar, all participants have to sign-in and
sign-out. We regret that neither CPD nor attendance certificate will be given
to those who are late for the seminar or leave early. TMA Office will update
TMA Individual Members’ CPD record after the seminar is held.
