$13.7 trillion bond market, now the world's second largest, has expanded
rapidly in the past decade and attracted growing participation from global
investors following a series of moves to widen their accessibility.
Bond Connect
further opens up the Mainland bond market in a controlled manner, thereby
providing new impetus to the market’s international participation, the
continued market open-up and reform, as well as to RMB internationalization.

Leung

Ms. Phoebe
Leung joined Bond Connect Company Limited, a joint venture established by China
Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS) and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing
Limited (HKEX), in September 2018 as the Head of Sales & Marketing to
oversee China bond market access initiative, promotion and onboarding for
international investors. She has over 10 years of experience in the Chinese
financial markets.
Prior to
joining BCCL, Ms. Leung was a Director, RMB Bond Sales at BNP Paribas, with
over 8 years spent between Shanghai and Hong Kong. She led the establishment of BNP Paribas’
bond sales platform covering all official institutions and global financial institutional
investors spanning across QFII, RQFII, CIBM Agent and Bond Connect models in
their China interbank bond market investments. She played a key role in the
infrastructure setup committee of the bank’s Type A Bond Custodian Agent
Service and Bond Connect market making eligibility. Ms. Leung has been ranked
No.1 Best Sales for onshore RMB bonds by The Asset Benchmark Research
consecutively from 2016-2018.
Prior to her
specialisation in the China market, she was Asia credit sales covering hedge funds
and real money investors.
Ms. Leung
graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
Mr Zhengyi
Chen
Sales &
Marketing, Bond Connect Company Limited
Zhengyi Chen
(ZC) joined BCCL in 2019. His background is in financial market infrastructure,
specializing in China Interbank Market logistics. ZC attends to client
onboarding, marketing, and scheme enhancements during his time with BCCL,
acting as the liaison between regulators, market stakeholders, and various
types of investors.
ZC also held
previous positions at both Clearing and RMB Departments in CFETS, the interbank
trading division of China's central bank. ZC’s exposure to both a regulatory
standpoint and a market point of view allows him to offer valuable insight and
pinpoint customized solutions for foreign investors interested in the growing
China Market.

are entitled to receive 1 CPD (TMA) credit upon completion of the webinar. TMA
is the administrator for the Enhanced Competency Framework on Treasury Management
(ECF-TM) and a recognized institution of Securities and Futures Commission
(SFC) for providing continuing professional development (CPD) activities. The
