PowerPoint for the TMA Challenge Briefing Session (Updated on 30 October 2015).

Objectives:

l Raise awareness of offshore RMB market in Hong Kong among university students.

l Enrich students with technical knowledge on offshore RMB products.

l Stimulate students' interest to work in the finance / treasury industry after graduation.

Eligibility:

Team competition. All full-time undergraduate students of the following universities are welcome (preferable penultimate):

l City University of Hong Kong

l Hong Kong Baptist University

l Hong Kong Shue Yan University

l Lingnan University

l Open University

l The Chinese University of Hong Kong

l The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

l The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

l The University of Hong Kong

Team competition:

l Each team shall consist of 1-3 students.

l Each student can only participate in one team.

l Team members may be from different universities.

Competition Rules:

The Competition has three stages.

Stage One – Briefing Session at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority premises, 55/F., IFC II, Central, will be provided on 29 October 2015, 5pm.

Registration Deadline: 2 November 2015

Stage Two –Submission Date due on 16 November 2015

Each team is required to submit the following to the TMA by email to tmachallenge@tma.org.hk by 16 November 2015.

1. Predicted spot USD/CNY(HK) fixing on 16 December 2015, value 18 December 2015.

2. Reasoning and methodologies. The reasoning and methodologies (including cover page, charts, graphs and appendices) must be written in English in PowerPoint slides format. The same PPT will be used for the presentation on 15 January 2016.

Stage Three – Presentation at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority premises, IFC II, Central on 15 January 2016.

Shortlisted teams ( 6-8 teams from stage 2) will be selected to present on 15 January 2016. Each team is required to use the submitted PowerPoint slides (limit to 10 minutes) to present in English in front of a panel of judges.

Prizes:

Winner(s): Internship Interview Opportunities.

Shortlised Teams: Presentation Training.

Certificates will be awarded to the winning teams.
